Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art
summer art camp 2005
“Our World and Beyond” is the theme students will explore this summer as they expand their artistic skills. Campers will draw inspiration from our community’s rich cultural, historic, natural, and architectural treasures while experimenting with a variety of materials and techniques in their art projects. Instruction will include use of color, line, shape and form, space and texture as it applies to the three art concentrations that will be offered throughout the summer sessions.

All camp sessions will meet Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Students may choose to register for any single week, or to attend all three sessions for a more comprehensive introduction to the visual arts. All supplies are included.

First Fridays in Augusta, Georgia
Come to downtown Augusta on the first Friday of every month from 5-10 p.m. for an evening of gallery and studio tours, demonstrations and entertainment. What began as a gallery walk by Artist’s Row almost 10 years ago has turned into a free public “celebration” for much of downtown Augusta.
