These high quality shelves of exceptional durability are good to cone 11. These shelves are the choice of professionals and clay programs throughout the U.S. at approximately half the price of silicon carbide. The alumina content of these shelves is 11 - 12% higher than the cordierite shelves most commonly used by potters today. Not recommended for wood or salt.
