Reward Sunstroke Underglaze / SS series - Cone 06-05

Apply to bisque and cover with SP-10 Transparent Glaze. Firing range is cone 06 - 05
(1855 F to 1911 F, 1013 C to 1044 C). CL listed (4)

Vivid reds, oranges, and yellow! Five intense special underglazes specifically formulated for Cone 06-05 (1855°-1911° F, 1013°-1044° C) in oxidation and raku firings -- with or without a clear glaze. Sun Strokes Underglazes have a gloss finish even when fired without the clear glaze. Therefore, if they are applied on the bottom of the piece, they must be stilted when fired or they will stick to the kiln shelf.

Clear glaze smooths out and brightens the colors. Apply two even coats to bisque. When using clear glaze, it must be applied over the decorated object before firing of the underglaze. No. SP-10 clear transparent glaze has been developed for use in conjunction with these underglaze colors for one stroke application.

For all over coverage of the Sun Strokes underglazes, any lead containing glaze will give excellent results. Apply one even coat on a mature Cone 04 (1971°F, 1077°C) bisque. Fire to Cone 06-05 (1855°-1911°F, 1013°-1044°C).

Sun Strokes are available in 2 oz. jars. SP-10 Clear Transparent Glaze is available in pint jars.
