Product Information


Mid Smooth Stone P'Clay
Originally designed as a throwing body, the addition of paper pulp makes this smooth stoneware ideal for handbuilding and sculptural projects. A light cream colour when fired, this clay will not mute your glaze colours.

Wet-to-dry shrinkage: 9.0%
Total shrinkage at Cone 6: 15.5%
Absorption at Cone 6: 7.0%

Sandstone P'Clay
This is our most popular stoneware which has become an excellent sculpture body with the addition of paper pulp. It also contains 5% grog making it an excellent body for larger scale work.

Oxidation
Wet-to-dry shrinkage: 8.0%
Total shrinkage at Cone 10: 14.5%
Absorption at Cone 10: 6.5%

Reduction
Wet-to-dry shrinkage: 8.0%
Total shrinkage at Cone 10: 15.5%
Absorption at Cone 10: 6.0%

MCS P'Clay
The base body has been a favorite Cone 6 plastic porcelain for many years. The addition of paper pulp makes it possible to forget all the rules while producing medium-sized pieces. The fired body is white.

Total shrinkage at Cone 6: 15.5%
Absorption at Cone 6: 7.0%
